“Rachel” by VECTORSCUM

The above image popped up on my Facebook, as one of the picture memories of the past, in this particular case of the painted canvas of local artist Drayson Phua AKA VECTORSCUM, with this trio of art seen on the gallery walls of The Substation, for the exhibition; “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”, circa 2009!

This “Bladerunner”-themed exhibition is PERFECT for this dedicated-blog, but for the purposes of today, le’ts have a closer look at “Rachel”, which has since joined my humble personal collection, thanks to Drayson!

Blade Runner Trailer in “Classic Noir”

Chet Desmond edits together scenes from Scott Ridley’s BLADE RUNNER, which he felt evoked a highly “noir” aesthetic, into a “Classic Noir”-styled trailer. Chet mentioned;
"Just wanted to clarify that this isn't meant to be a radical re-imagining of the film or a recreation of a 40's-style trailer. As many have pointed out, Blade Runner is already very "Noir." I just wanted to take those aspects of the film and accentuate them into something hopefully interesting. The piano song is "Memories of Green" off the soundtrack. All sounds and images in the trailer are from the film or soundtrack. Thanks again!"

Rutger Hauer and Blade Runner - "30 years ago I saw the future"

VIDEO DESCRIPTION: "Rutger Hauer arrives early at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Milan. There, a restricted number of journalists and students met the deep and glacial gaze of the legendary replicant Roy Batty, the character who went down in the history of cinema with "that" sentence that we have all said, at least once in our lifetime: «...I've seen things you people wouldn't believe...». The 30th anniversary of "Blade Runner", milestone of science fiction cinema and unquestioned masterpiece by Ridley Scott, is one of the reasons why Hauer was in Milan. In our report, the Dutch actor retraces the crucial moments of that extraordinary cinematographic experience."

"Tears in Rain" Monologue (Final scene / #SPOILER)

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams... glitter in the dark near the Tannhouser Gate.
All those... moments will be lost...
in time... like tears... in rain.
Time... to die"
